About

Team H12:One is the result of a Dream, and a Vision. In 1996 Founder Dennis Hollenbeck stood in a dry river bed and watched the Cars, Trucks and Buggies of the Baja 500 race by and he was hooked. Now some 16 years later there is the hope to take this spectator to the next level. H12:One is being built with a collection of friends that share this passion and vision, and to not only race, but to be of service to the community of Baja California. We are about Running the Race as it describes in Hebrews 12:one , “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us”.

Team H12:One’s team members come from the US and Mexico and this is a team that will bridge Culture Gaps and strive to be an example to all as we join together to enjoy this great sport. Our mission is to create a race team of Christian believers and friends to benefit the unfortunate woman & children of Casa Esperanza located in Baja California, and to look for opportunities to share and serve the communities that we race in.

As a Team our goal will be to participate in the Three Main Score Races in Baja Ca, the San Felipe 250, The Tecate Baja 500, and the Grand Daddy of them all,,,the Baja 1000. Our car of choice is the VW Stock 1600, class 11, and as so eloquently said in the Movie Dust to Glory, Class 11 is the Heart and Soul of the Baja.

Hi, I chatted with some members of your team at the last 1000. I mentioned that I was going to start a build which I have and have a couple of questions. Hope you don’t mind me asking.

I have spoken with gearworks regarding a trans build and they recommend using a Ryno case. I did not see anything listed on score 11 rules specifically about cases and was looking for confirmation that these were allowed.

also, I am lookin for an engine builder now. Any recommendations?

    really appreciate your help
